GREEN’S DISCOVERY, and Its Sequel
GREEN’S DISCOVERY 2, ‘Creating a Fair and Just Society

By: R.W. Karp

Why Write These Books?

The original Green’s Discovery was at first a science fiction short story. It was a fun read about aliens coming to visit earth. But two things happened; one was the continuing media coverage about the terrible state of affairs in the world today. Discussions about things like the environmental crisis, the social and economic imbalance, the greed and control of big business (the plutocracy) and how that affects the day to day lives of billions of people. And finally, how sad it is that most of us just turn a blind eye to all of that. We just tell ourselves, ‘What can I do? I’m just one person’.

And the second thing that happened was my realization that focusing on the idea of creating an intervention of an alien race would be a perfect tool to delve into how to resolve these issues in society today and create a new world order.

The aliens, the visitors as I call them, make a point of saying that our world order, as primitive and violent as it is, cannot be permitted to interact with other more advanced civilizations in the universe. Change, or perish, became our choices.

They are the ‘wake-up call’ that we need.  For me, Green’s Discovery became the vehicle to show how that intervention happens, and lays the foundation for Green’s Discovery 2, Creating a Fair & Just Society, which completes the task of showing us the way, what the changes are, and it shows the benefits that accrue once our political, social, and economic paradigms become fair and just for all of us.

In these two books I am trying to bring attention to the issues in our world today, and what we can do to improve our situation. As I say, “Leaders lead only when followers follow”. I am stating that change must occur, what that change is, and how we can make it happen, which is the essence of the books.

About the Books:

In the first book, Green’s Discovery, Sydney Green lays the foundation, and completes the first steps in forming a new political, social, and economic order for the world. Then, in Green’s Discovery 2, Creating a Fair & Just Society, Green, working with many others, accomplishes the tasks laid out by the visitors, to create a fair and just society for all the people of earth paving the way for our world to make first contact.

Questions and Answers:

Q. What is the genre of the books?

The books are science fiction dealing with the arrival of alien spaceships, their intervention, and how they work with, and give Green powers to set us on a track to overcome our social, political, and economic issues. The books deal with creating a new socio-economic world order, a meritocracy, that provides balance and equal opportunity for everyone. Accordingly, there is an emphasis on dealing with rampant criminality, restructuring the governance models we have, and establishing a just and balanced society politically, socially and economically.

Q. Why should someone want to read the books?

The books are an eye opener on several levels! They deal with Green discovering that life does exist in the universe, and that those civilizations are much more advanced than we are. The books deal with why the visitors have come to our world, and why our socio-economic systems must evolve in order for us to create a new world order, and therefore be able to make contact with other more advanced civilizations.

Together the books present a political, social and economic statement, a transformation to what could be, and how that happens. They detail how Green helps to rid our world of the qualities that are destructive, abusive, and criminal, and how we create a fair and just society.

The books target a readership interested in science fiction, adventure, and creating a fair and just society. Young adults, as well as individuals seeing the problems, the inequities in our current world order, and who are also seeing changes in technology and innovation every day, will have a lot to discuss when reading the books.
